"Hey, you've reached Penny! ...Well, Penny's voicemail, at least.
Just leave a message and I'll get right back to you!"
[ooc: Open to any and all of your IC networking needs. ♥]

You don't need to do anything to stay here, I promise. I mean, I definitely won't stop you from helping if you get bored, but you won't get kicked out or anything if you don't.
the welcome center
It's... It's fine. It was a long time ago.
[Cue strained not-quite-a-smile.]
I'd be happy to, thank you.
the welcome center
And I'd be happy to have you here as long as you need. Can I show you to a bed you can have? Get you something to eat?
the welcome center
[Still not quite smiling, but always trying a bit pathetically to look like she is. Some attempts are better than others.]
the welcome center
[Penny leads her into the back room, which has beds separated by dividers. There's not a lot of room, but there's some privacy and the beds are nice.]
Will this do?
the welcome center
It's wonderful, thank you.
[She ducks her head quietly.]
the welcome center
[Penny can't just leave Anna there. She looks too broken to be left unattended.]
Is there anything--seriously, anything--I can get you?
the welcome center
You don't have to worry about me, Miss Penny.
[The smile is weary, perhaps not as reassuring as intended.]
the welcome center
[She doesn't want to be too pushy. At the same time, she doesn't want Anna to think that she would be imposing by asking for anything...]
the welcome center
I am not used to it.
[And she did not exactly trust it, and that made for a painful dilemma. It had been easier to hide in the woods, keep her needs and fears private.]
the welcome center
[Something. Odd. Penny has no idea how to respond to that, honestly.]
That's fine. Maybe it's something you can get used to, with a little time.
[She hopes that Anna will open up with some time and rest. If she leaves her alone with her thoughts for a little while, maybe...]
Just try to relax, if you can. I'll be out in the main room if you think of anything you need, okay?
the welcome center
Yes, thank you. I will.
